Boards a little worn and a faded at edges. Hinges slightly weak but binding secure. Printed pages and images remain clear with just the odd small foxing mark.

In rather worn condition, with some creasing and a few tiny tears at edges. General fading / discolouration. Preserved in removable book wrap.

Volume I, third impression, September 1954. Volume II, first edition 1956.

DESCRIPTION
Sold together, volumes I and II of this three volume work. (Please note we do not currently have vol. III in stock) Vol. I: "The Defensive," vol. II "The Period of Balance." Both illustrated throughout with many monochrome photographs and fold-out maps. 8vo.
