Hinges a little weak, boards faded on spine and shelf wear at edges. Endpapers stained, but printed pages are otherwise clean and largely unmarked. Images are clear and bright and tissue guards clean and intact.

SYNOPSIS
This collection of folk tales was first published in Naples, in the Neapolitan dialect, by Giambattista Basile (died C. 1637) They are believed to have been collected mainly in Venice and Crete.
