Blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and an attached coloured image.
BOOK CONDITION
Boards have a little wear at edges, some of the gilt is faded. Binding is weakened and rear hinge is completely split, although no loose leaves. Faint browning / discolouration, but the text and images remain largely clear and little marked.
DUST JACKET
No, but the volume is protected with a clear library style jacket.

An interesting work on the history of painting in Southern India, from the 2nd century BC to the 19th century. Illustrated throughout with 53 plates in colour and 35 in monochrome, all separately printed and pasted in, plus 20 line drawings. 174 pp. Large volume 34 x 27 cm.
