BOOK CONDITION
A good copy of this rare memoir. Boards have some general wear to edges, corners bumped. Slightly faded / discoloured. A little browning and faint foxing to endpapers, but printed pages remain largely clear and little marked. Frontispiece portrait, and a photograph of the subject has been pasted on to the flyleaf.
DUST JACKET
Plain paper, on which the Author has written an inscription in pencil dated 1934. The paper is very worn and discoloured / stained, with tearing and pieces missing at edges. Preserved in removable book wrap.

A mother's memoir of her son, Scots army officer Robert "John" Horn, who was killed in 1918. An annotated photograph of the subject in happier times in Kashmir is pasted on the flyleaf. 99 pp.
