DESCRIPTION
SYNOPSIS
An anthology of poems for children, compiled by Pamela Whitlock. Divided in to four sections to represent times of the day, from the early morning to bedtime. Although most of the poems were not specifically written for children, they are selected for their wide appeal, such as Macavity: The Mystery Cat by T. S. Elliot, and Night-song in the Jungle by Kipling. Includes biographical notes on the poets. Illustrated with woodcuts by Joan Hassall, some in colour.
