BOOK CONDITION
Boards have some general wear. Inscription to previous owner on flyleaf. Remains of a  pasted in label has apparently been removed from inside front cover. Printed pages and illustrations remain largely clear and little marked. 

DUST JACKET
Creasing and tearing at edges, especially around spine, with a few pieces missing. Protected in removable book wrap.

First edition 1963.

Illustrated with 16 black and white photographs, two to each plate, and frontispiece portrait of author. Signature dated 1965 on title page. Line drawings within the text. 196 pp.

SYNOPSIS
