Navy blue cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and embossed border.
BOOK CONDITION
Both volumes are generally worn, with scuffing to boards and bumping and some fraying to corners. Front cover of vol. II has several tiny spots of what appears to be paint. Foxing and staining to outer leaves, but majority of printed pages remain little marked. Some damp stains to front endpapers of vol. I. Tissue guards to frontispiece portraits are intact, vol. I has some foxing spots. Block edges of opened pages are discoloured. Both vols. have a bookplate inside front cover, and previous owner's name and address.
