PUBLISHER
William Heinemann Ltd.
BINDING
Navy blue cloth boards.
BOOK CONDITION
Boards are generally worn and faded at edges, with a few small marks. Hinges slightly weak but binding feels secure. Browning and foxing to block edges and to outer leaves, but printed pages and images remain largely clear and little marked. On the half-title page is the authors signature and dedication, plus pasted on signatures of Edmund Hillary, George Lowe and Tom Bourdillon, plus a photograph (possibly of author?) All believed to be genuine as far as we can tell. Opposite is an inscription and the names of a school form; perhaps the book was presented to a teacher? A picture of Evererest is also pasted on the last page.
DUST JACKET
Tearing and a few pieces missing around edges, especially at top of spine, which is faded. General discolouration and foxing. Protected with removable book wrap.
EDITION
1954.
