BINDING
Quarter bound tan boards with red leather over spine. Gilt lettering, banding and decorative border to spine, black illustrations on boards.
BOOK CONDITION
In fragile condition commensurate with age. Leather spine is very scuffed and split with pieces missing. Boards generally discoloured and worn, corners bumped. Hinge split at front and partially detached. Binding weak although all leaves remain at least partly attached. Fold out map is intact but worn especially at edges. Colours are still quite bright on this, and on the small images. Foxing and browning throughout, although text is mostly clear. Preserved in clear archival pouch.

Includes a short chapter on the Isle of Wight, highlighting the splendour of the Needles which are the subject of one of the images.. There are 81 small landscape format illustrations, grouped three to a plate and believed to be hand coloured engravings. 152 pp. 11 x 17cm.
