Royal blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and design. Gilt block edges. Endpapers have a pattern of crests.
BOOK CONDITION
In generally worn condition commensurate with age. Scuffing around edges, corners bumped and some fraying at ends of spine. Some scratches and scuff marks to front and back boards. Gilt remains bright. Hinges weak and the binding is split at the list of illustrations index, which is loose. All other leaves feel reasonably secure. Some browning, but printed pages and images are mostly clear and little marked.
