BOOK CONDITION
Boards are generally worn and faded, especially spine. Some scuffing and marking and a couple of splits to cloth by spine. Hinges a little weak but binding remains secure. Printed pages and images remain clear and little marked. Fold out maps are intact and seem to have been little handled, with just a few creases and slight browning to edges.

Illustrated throughout with eight monochrome photographs / facsimiles and many further images within the text including woodcuts and diagrams. Four large fold out maps, and an early map of Iceland on endpapers. 770 pp. Octavo.
