Red cloth boards with gilt lettering. Gilt top block edge. 

BOOK CONDITION
Boards are generally worn and bumped at edges. Cup ring on the front of volume I. Hinges a little weak but binding secure. Some browning and foxing to block edges and pages, although mostly confined to outer leaves. Printed pages have the occasional foxing spot and the images remain largely clear. Gilt still bright. Previous owner's bookplates inside front covers.
