BOOK CONDITION
Although the boards on all three volumes are worn at edges, printed pages and images remain clear and largely unmarked. Fold out maps are in good intact condition.
DUST JACKET
All three dust jackets are worn and faded, with some tearing. A tear across the back cover of vol. I has previously been mended with tape.
EDITION
Volume I is third impression, March 1954. (First published 1953) Volumes II and III are first editions, both 1954.
DESCRIPTION
All three volumes are illustrated throughout with black and white photographs and maps. Some of the maps fold out, and are depicted in coloured ink. Octavo. 430, 413 and 441 pp.
